New call for aid for the installation of renewable energies in Lanzarote is open

The financial aid is designed to cover up to 50% of the total cost of renewable energy installations, with a maximum limit of 3,000 euros per project.

Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Minister of Energy and Industry

The Official Bulletin of the Province of Las Palmas published this Wednesday the call for subsidies from the Industry and Energy Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, aimed at promoting the production of photovoltaic and wind energy. Thus, the first Island Corporation allocates an economic item of 500,000 euros, from its own funds, to promote the transition to more sustainable energy sources and thus reduce dependence on fossil fuels in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

The island councilor for Energy and Industry, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, states that "from the first Institution we are committed to a more sustainable and respectful energy model with our environment, so these financial aids are essential to continue advancing in this objective."

"These subsidies," adds Jiménez, "not only promote the use of renewable energies, but also represent an investment for our future. By promoting the installation of solar panels to individuals and local businesses, we are contributing to reducing our carbon footprint, respecting our environment and betting on a more sustainable future for all."

Specifically, the financial aids are designed to cover up to 50% of the total cost of renewable energy installations, with a maximum limit of 3,000 euros per project. The funds are available to finance projects that have been carried out since 2022 or that will be carried out during the current year 2024.
