Starting in December, Lanzarote will have a new stopover to transport fresh goods from the Peninsula. The new service launched by Boluda Lines is called "Daily Canarias" and will connect the islands daily with Cádiz. In the case of Arrecife, which until now had one weekly arrival on Saturdays, will now have two arrivals per week.

The ship will arrive at the Los Mármoles dock on Thursdays at 8 in the morning and will transport perishable fresh merchandise in the new reefers, which are 45-foot refrigerated containers. "These new containers have more capacity and are more profitable for importers, who can move more merchandise in the same trip, which will lower costs," they highlight from the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce.

Boluda also incorporates the shuttle connection between Seville and Cádiz into its logistics, from where it will move the merchandise it organizes there, coming from the central area of Spain, through a railway agreement.

The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, which recalls that it "has been working for years to improve the connectivity and competitiveness of the port of Arrecife", considers this "an important commitment". "Any action that serves to promote the port is reflected in opportunities for the island's companies, which have more supply to transport their goods from peninsular Spain and can improve their profitability," he says.

In addition, he considers that "the fact of having refrigerated fresh merchandise on Thursdays also represents a qualitative leap for companies that can put the products on sale for the weekend".
