Lanzarote hosts the celebration of Economist's Day with an informative conference

Manuel J. Viera Ramírez will be named Honorary Economist and a special distinction will be given to the economist and businessman Agustín Márquez Fernández

The Official College of Economists of Las Palmas celebrates Economist's Day in Lanzarote with an informative day on economics that will take place on Friday, November 4, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife.

The event, presided over by the dean of the College of Economists of Las Palmas, Alcibiades Trancho Lemes, and the vice-dean in Lanzarote of the College, Sergio Plata Romero, will be attended by the Minister of Finance and Contracting of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Rosa Mary Callero Cañada; the vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Carmen Martinón Ramírez; and the CEO of the Society for Foreign Promotion of Lanzarote, Héctor Fernández Machado. The day will be moderated by Jonathan Márquez Lasso, president of the Training Commission of the College of Economists of Las Palmas.

Throughout the day, there will be a presentation by the president of the Registry of Tax Advisor Economists of the General Council of Economists (REAF), Agustín Fernández Pérez, on Small capsules of tax news.

There will also be a round table, in which Trancho Lemes will participate; Martinón Ramírez; Fernández Machado; together with Mariano Sanginés López, director of the Las Palmas office of Renta4; and Nayra Valls Cabrera, financial director of the Cabrera Medina Group, who will discuss the current situation of the economy in Lanzarote. During the event, a distinction will be given to the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, which will be collected by its vice-president; Manuel J. Viera Ramírez, former vice-dean for Lanzarote of the College, will be named Honorary Economist, and a special distinction will be given to the economist and businessman Agustín Márquez Fernández.
