The Cabildo of Lanzarote has carried out the final award and resolution of allegations of two lines of aid for the acquisition of vehicles adapted for people with reduced mobility (PRM) for the discretionary transport of passengers in taxis, and the acquisition of efficient and less polluting vehicles for discretionary transport of passengers.
Of the 260,000 euros budgeted for these aids, finally awarded 6,000 euros for two vehicles adapted for people with reduced mobility and 87,000 to facilitate the acquisition of more efficient vehicles.
President Oswaldo Betancort highlights that "we are taking a firm step towards the advancement and modernization of our public mobility, adapted to the needs of the population of Lanzarote and the eighth island." He also adds that "from the island corporation we will continue to renew and update the fleet of our vehicles."
For his part, the Minister of Transport, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, explains that the payment of these aids will be proportional to the amount of the justified activity, taking into account the subsidizable percentage. "This aid, without a doubt, responds to a need to bring efficient and sustainable transport to our territory," he says.
The beneficiaries must provide the original invoices and proof of payment that justify the acquisition of the vehicle to be subsidized in the offices of the Transport and Mobility Area of the Island Council. Once carried out, they will be given the vinyl that should be placed on the vehicle to proceed with the payment.
The justification period will be 30 business days, from the day following the publication of the final resolution of granting the subsidy.
In addition, the following documents must be provided through the Electronic Headquarters of the First Institution: the justification and payment request, the classified list of eligible expenses, the proof of payments made to date of submission, the performance report, the declaration of expenses and final settlement, as well as the photographs of the subsidized activity where the placement of the identifying poster is appreciated.
