Between January and July of this year, flights from Lanzarote and destined for the island of Lanzarote have transported 763,830 people, 27% more than last year, when there were just over 600,000 travelers.
In absolute numbers, the largest increase has been with Gran Canaria. Between January and July, more than 486,000 people have traveled between the island of Lanzarote and the capital of the province, and vice versa. Last year there were 387,000. In percentage terms, the growth is equivalent to 25.5%.
With respect to Tenerife, if this year nearly 269,000 people have traveled between Lanzarote and Tenerife, last year there were 207,000, which implies a growth of nearly 30%.
The largest percentage growth has occurred on flights linking Lanzarote with La Palma, whose passenger numbers have increased this year by 66% between January and July to 8,375 travelers.
In contrast, the number of passengers who flew between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura has decreased; the decrease has been 41.6% to a total of 348 people.
