The business groups CICAR-Cabrera Medina and DISA have strengthened their collaboration ties with a new commercial agreement, whereby customers of the car rental company will have a direct discount on their refueling at DISA and Shell service stations in the Canary Islands. This has been agreed by the CEO of CICAR-Cabrera Medina, Mamerto Cabrera, and the marketing director of DISA, Arístides Bonilla, in a meeting they held this Wednesday, together with their teams, to outline this commitment.
With this agreement, according to CICAR, "both groups have the forecast to reach more than 600,000 customers each year and thus promote refueling throughout the network of DISA and Shell stations, all of which is linked to the experience of visiting and touring the Canary Islands with the largest and most modern rent a car fleet in the Archipelago".
This new alliance joins other existing ones between both companies. The most recent one operates in the field of Canarian rallies, with the birth of the Adam DISA Max Cup and an agreement that guarantees the continuity of this Cup for three years. This automotive competition is of an autonomous nature, consists of six events and the cash prizes will exceed 30,000 euros.
Both companies cooperate in different areas
Another area of cooperation has allowed CICAR to incorporate vehicles powered by AutoGas into its rent a car fleet, being the first company in Spain to offer cars powered by this alternative fuel. AutoGas is an alternative to conventional fuels that represents a saving of 50% in the price and a substantial reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. DISA is the energy product distribution company in the Canary Islands that has most bet on the benefits associated with the use of this fuel. Likewise, the agreement is also in force in which CICAR customers receive 'Tu Club DISA' points for rentals made.
CICAR is a car rental company without a driver belonging to the Cabrera Medina group, which in 2017 celebrates 50 years of life. This group is present in all airport ports, tourist areas and strategic points of the Archipelago.
With more than 80 years of experience, DISA is the first Canarian company distributing energy products, as well as the first independent operator of service stations in the autonomous region, with more than 200 points of sale. In addition, it should be remembered that both business groups are present in each of the seven islands of the Canary Archipelago.
