The number of passengers who flew from Lanzarote or to the island from other islands of the Canary Islands fell by 1.95% in April compared to the same month last year.
While in April 2023 there were 106,200 people, last month there were 104,125 passengers, according to the Lanzarote Data Center.
The fall is due to the decrease in passengers between Lanzarote and Tenerife. Last April, 38,409 people traveled between the two islands, while this year there have been 35,048, equivalent to 8.7% less.
On the other hand, air traffic between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria increased by more than 1,000 people. In April of this year, a total of 68,222 people traveled between the two islands, while last year there were 67,015 travelers.
The number of passengers between Lanzarote and La Palma also increased. Last month, a total of 855 people flew between these two islands, while last year there were 770.
