The National Wine Competition 'Pequeñas DO', held last June in Madrid, awarded Bodegas Martinón the gold medal for its dry white wine. The event has gained great recognition for highlighting wines that are committed to the tradition of their regions, which has made it a benchmark for small denominations of origin.

Among the almost one hundred samples submitted to the competition, all the wines have obtained 90 points or more, which reflects the enormous quality that extends throughout the Spanish territory. The gold medal obtained by the Blanco Seco Martinón strengthens the quality and capacity of Bodegas Martinón and the other wines of the island of Lanzarote. In this way, the wines produced in Lanzarote lands consolidate the same possibilities of competition with other wines of great level and production.

This award reaffirms the commitment of Bodegas Martinón and other wineries to the quality and tradition of viticulture. According to Jorge Rodríguez, president of the Regulatory Council of the DOP Vinos de Lanzarote, “the awards in competitions such as 'Pequeñas DO' are a testimony to the effort and preservation of the tradition of the winegrowers and winemakers of Lanzarote, who continue to raise the name of their wine product despite certain limitations”, he commented.
