Students from the School of Tourism visit the CICAR stand at the Berlin Tourism Fair

As has been traditional in recent years, a group of students from the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote visited the CICAR stand at the Berlin Tourism Fair, which is being held these days in the German city. It is common for students from this center to attend the major fairs as part of their teaching program in order to come into direct contact with the reality of the tourism industry.

The Minister of Tourism, José Manuel Soria, also supported the company's stand with his presence, and was attended by the staff of the Cabrera Medina Group, headed by its commercial director, Ramón Valiente. Along with the one organized by the city of London, the Berlin Tourism Fair is considered the most important in the world.

In this new edition, the CICAR stand showcases the replica of the Seat Ibiza model painted by César Manrique in 1987 through audiovisual information. The Lanzarote company made almost a hundred replicas of the vehicle, which have been incorporated into its fleet of rental cars on the seven Canary Islands. This initiative occupies one of the wings of the CICAR/Grupo Cabrera Medina stand, presided over by a large-scale photograph of Manrique.

The Cabrera Medina Group was created in 1967. After nearly 50 years, the Group retains its family structure, offers services throughout the Canary Islands and is present in all airports, ports, tourist areas and strategic points of the Canary Archipelago. It has about 8,000 rental vehicles, is a leader in its sector in the Islands, has more than 80 points of sale for both rent a car and vehicle sales, and provides direct employment to 1,200 people.
