The Los Valles wind farm generated 8% more energy throughout 2018

The Los Valles wind farm, in which Endesa participates through its renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power España (EGPE), and the Lanzarote Island Water Consortium, generated a total of 24,544 MWh [megawatt hours] last year, increasing its production by 8% compared to 2017. This park, located in the municipality of Teguise, was the third of those in which Endesa participated in the Canary Islands with the highest production in 2018, only behind Arico (Tenerife) and Carretera de Arinaga (Gran Canaria).

Following the commissioning of the park's tenth wind turbine in April last year, it has an installed capacity of 8.5 MW [megawatts].

Throughout the Canary Islands, EGPE participates in fifteen wind farms with an installed capacity of 62.89 MW. In 2018, they produced 7% more energy than the previous year with a total production of 170,106 MWh, which is equivalent to supplying nearly 50,000 homes on the islands through wind generation.
