The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers will donate the more than 400 kilos of perishable products they have stored to the non-governmental organizations Cáritas and Calor y café. "With our activity paralyzed, it would be a great irresponsibility to allow them to spoil in our chambers in a context like the current one, in which any help is little, even more so towards the most disadvantaged groups. It is time to act with common sense, social responsibility and solidarity," says the counselor of the Centers, Benjamín Perdomo.
Specifically, the Centers will distribute from this Monday and throughout the next few days almost 370 kilos of fruits, vegetables and sausages, around 50 kilos of prepared meals, and about 130 eggs. These distributions will continue to be made according to the needs of the NGOs.
Last Friday, before the state of alarm was decreed in Spain, the closure of the activity and the postponement of the cultural program of the Centers until a new date were already agreed, to avoid the spread of the virus.
