IES Haría consolidates its educational offer in the technological field, preparing young people for a job market that increasingly demands highly specialized technical profiles. This educational offer stands out for integrating Artificial Intelligence from day one, using it not only as a learning tool but also as a driving force to improve students’ academic and professional outcomes.
The educational pathway is structured into three levels, offering the flexibility to complete the entire programme consecutively or to enter directly at the level that best matches previous academic training:
Basic Level (Grado Básico)
Focused on computing, communications, and auxiliary operations related to the assembly and repair of physical equipment.
Intermediate Level (Grado Medio)
Specialized in Microcomputer Systems and Networks (SMR), where students learn to manage networks, operating systems, hardware assembly, and user support. Access is available from the Basic Level, through an entrance examination, or with the Lower Secondary Education Certificate (ESO).
Advanced Level (Grado Superior)
Focused on Multiplatform Application Development (DAM), covering software programming, database management, and interface design. Admission is possible from the Intermediate Level, through an entrance examination, or with the Upper Secondary Education Certificate (Bachillerato).
The DAM programme is considered a high-quality qualification, highly practical and with excellent employability. It is especially suitable for students who wish to enter the software development job market quickly while keeping the option open to continue their academic education in the future.
One of the main strengths of these programmes is their Dual Vocational Training methodology, which guarantees all students real internships in technology-sector companies during both the first and second year of study. This allows them to build a solid professional CV before graduating. Upon completion, students may choose to enter the workforce directly or continue towards higher academic levels.
A Modern Public Education Centre
IES Haría is a public education centre with recently built facilities, located in a privileged natural environment. It offers modern infrastructure and a close, personalized approach to student support.
With a morning-only timetable, the centre also provides school transport and boarding facilities, making it accessible to students from all areas of the island. Transport routes cover the entire northern region and include locations from Arrecife to Haría, with stops such as the bus station, Altavista, Tahiche, Nazaret, Teguise, and Teseguite, among others.
