Rancho Texas hosted the Aula Viva Conference, an educational gathering for the presentation in Lanzarote of the Blue Schools program, promoted by UNESCO internationally and coordinated in Spain by the Marine Science Institute of the CSIC.

This initiative offers schools the opportunity to involve their students in projects that promote awareness of the situation of our oceans and encourages them to become active agents for the protection of nature.

Aula Viva Day at Rancho Texas

The day, organized by the Rancho Texas Department of Education, was attended by teachers and representatives from numerous centers on the island, who shared experiences, exchanged ideas, and explored new ways to integrate ocean education into their classrooms.

The following centers participated: CEIP Yaiza, CEIP Playa Honda, CEIP Alcalde Rafael Cedrés, ADISLAN, CEIP Capellanía del Yágabo, CEIP La Destila, CEO Argana, IES Playa Honda, Colegio Santa María de los Volcanes, Colegio Arenas Internacional, IES Las Maretas, CEIP Ajei and The British School of Lanzarote.
