La Bodega Alta Pavina is presented at the Amura Restaurant

The Alta Pavina Winery is presented at the Amura Restaurant

Next Tuesday, November 10, the presentation of Bodegas Alta Pavina will take place at the Amura restaurant in Puerto Calero, by Vinalia Canarias. Bodegas Alta Pavina, with more than thirty years of history, has its vineyards in the municipality of La Parrilla (Valladolid) just two kilometers from the Duero River, in the heart of the Ribera. There, in extreme weather conditions, two varieties of grapes are mainly cultivated; Pinto Noir and Cavernet Sauvignon. One of the first wineries in Spain to carefully cultivate the Pinot Noir variety and as a result produces today what is called The Spanish Pinot Noir.

This small family winery has two great experts in its ranks, the prestigious oenologist Isaac Fernández and an oenological legend such as the sommelier Custodio López Zamarra. López Zamarra held this position for 40 years in the mythical Zalacaín restaurant in Madrid, the first Spanish restaurant to achieve three Michelin stars. There he has served wine to royalty and also to all the presidents of democracy. Now retired, Custodio dedicates himself to giving conferences and giving master classes as professor emeritus.

The event will consist of a presentation by López Zamarra followed by the presentation of Bodega Alta Pavina. Then a pairing tasting with lunch will follow. A unique opportunity to share with one of the most charismatic sommeliers in our geography and to get to know a winery that despite its small size (35 hectares) produces wines that are served today in the best restaurants in Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom and France and, of course, also in our Canary Islands, wines that are up to the best wines of French Burgundy.

To reserve your place for the presentation and lunch, you can contact Restaurante Amura on 928 51 31 81. The number of places is limited.
