The second edition of MEETINGS FESTVAL LANZAROTE (June 19, 20 and 21) will host the screening of various audiovisual productions open to the public; from documentaries to a film to a musical work. And all this, in the Atlántida cinemas of Arrecife, with free admission until full capacity.
The days will be inaugurated on Thursday, June 19 with a round table on Artificial Intelligence in audiovisual, organized by the Ministry of Culture; a meeting of television comedians represented by Miguel Lago, Belinda Washington and Antonio Pagudo; and the presence of Víctor Elías, directed by Fran Perea, in ‘Yo Sostenido. Sonata para juguete roto’ where the famous middle brother of ‘Los Serrano’ will talk about his life, his condition as a broken toy, the special relationship with his parents, etc. He comes to tell us that there are lives that have a logical order and others, like his, more disordered and chaotic. In this tragicomedy he will undress.
Friday, June 20 will be the turn of the Masterclass of Ramón Campos, producer of series as successful as ‘Gran Hotel’, ‘Fariña, ‘Velvet’ or ‘El acaso Asunta’. The chef Julius will talk about the evolution of gastronomic programs on television and will present his new program on Canal Cocina. Poty Castillo and the Twin Melody will star in a meeting about the creation of musical content on Tiktok
Among the projections of the day, the exclusive screening of the first two episodes of ‘PHARAOHS: RISE AND FALL’ stands out, the 2025 documentary superproduction of Canal HISTORIA, which analyzes these Gods who walked among men, from Narmer to Cleopatra VII; and the film ‘HOTEL BITCOIN’, one of the most outstanding recent productions at the national level; four friends find a fortune in lost bitcoins. A comedy directed by Manuel Sanabria, who after the screening, will participate in a colloquium with the attending public together with Daniel Muriel, one of the actors in the film.
A meeting with the actresses Irene Arcos (‘Hospital central’, ‘Todos mienten’), Candela Serrat (‘Seis hermanas’, ‘Estoy vivo’) and Ane Rot (‘Élite’, ‘El club de los lectores criminales’) will complete the day
The day of Saturday, June 21 will be dedicated to the breakfast of the TV Academy on ‘Sports on television’ with the presence, among others, of Jesús Alvarez or Noemí de Miguel; a press trip to promote the island of Lanzarote with guests and press in addition to the screening of ‘CARBON: UNAUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY’ the extended version of the award-winning ODISEA documentary that highlights the role of carbon as a foundational element of everything around us and its impact on the environment, through animations and the invaluable collaboration of great scientists such as Neil deGrasse Tyson.
The presentation of the II FesTVal Lanzarote Awards, presented by Jota Abril and with the comedians Gurutze Beitia and Xavier Deltell, will close this second edition of Meetings FesTVal Lanzarote.
