The Teguise City Council, through its Commerce and Tourism departments, presented the new edition of the Costa Teguise Christmas Market, which will be held from December 11 to 14 at the Las Cucharas Amphitheater.

The musical program will feature performances by the Rainbow Gospel Choir, Hombres G Tribute, Fijo Discontinuo, and Los Lola, in addition to the highly anticipated concert by Nena Daconte on Saturday, December 13th.

The market will also include children's shows, magic, street performances, and a daily visit from Santa Claus accompanied by a hot chocolate invitation for the little ones. Activities will begin each day starting at 4:30 PM, offering four days of Christmas spirit by the sea

The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, stated that “this event positions Costa Teguise within the Christmas calendar of the Canary Islands. We are going to fill the Las Cucharas area with color and a festive atmosphere, combining crafts, culture, and gastronomy in an emblematic seaside space”. She also underlined the City Council's commitment to initiatives that boost economic activity and strengthen the municipality's identity.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, added that “the Costa Teguise Christmas Market demonstrates that tourism is not only sought externally: it is also nurtured and consolidated from within the island. We invite citizens to come and enjoy the gastronomy, crafts, and culture stalls in a unique setting,” highlighting the coordination between administrations to move forward with these types of initiatives.

The Councilor for Tourism and Deputy Mayor, Rita Hernández, explained that "we have prepared a market specifically designed for families, with activities for the little ones and a musical program that will bring concerts from Thursday to Sunday. We want both residents and visitors to find Costa Teguise a dynamic and lively space during these days".

The Minister of Art, Culture, and Tourism Centers, Ángel Vázquez, encouraged residents and tourists to participate in an initiative "that helps build the island, and that becomes a window projecting the talent of local artisans, creators, and restorers."For his part, the CEO of SPEL–Turismo Lanzarote, Héctor Fernández, highlighted that "this market integrates Canarian identity, culture, gastronomy, and activities that boost the tourist area during a key period, reinforcing both the visitor's experience and that of the resident themselves," emphasizing the value of institutional collaboration in consolidating these events.

The event is sponsored by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, and Turismo Lanzarote–SPEL, and has the collaboration of the Teguise City Council, Teguise Tourism, and Teguise Commerce, consolidating itself as a key Christmas offering on the island.
