Once again, the Canary Islands car rental company CICAR is participating in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, one of the most relevant professional events in the international tourism sector, alongside the fairs in Berlin and Madrid
This year's edition takes place in a generalized atmosphere of optimism and confidence for Canarian tourism, with good prospects for the winter season.
CICAR shares with public and private representatives of the Canary Islands tourism sector the objective of continuing to consolidate the Archipelago in the British market, the origin of approximately four out of every ten visitors who arrive on the Islands.
The company has its own stand next to the Canary Islands pavilion, a regular meeting point with authorities and industry professionals. The Minister of Tourism of the Canary Islands Government, Jéssica de León, visited it, accompanied by several officials from her department, including José Juan Lorenzo, managing director of Promotur Turismo de Canarias. She was accompanied by the executive president of the Lanzarote Tourism Federation, Susana Pérez.
Likewise, the president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, visited the CICAR stand with the managing director of Turismo Lanzarote, Héctor Fernández.
They were all welcomed by the company's team, led by its commercial director, Ramón Valiente. During the meeting, they exchanged views on the positive moment that Canary Islands tourism is experiencing in this 2025.
CICAR, belonging to the Cabrera Medina Group, is a leading family-owned company in the car rental sector. It is present at all airports, ports, and main tourist areas of the Canary Islands.
Its logo, designed by the Lanzarote artist César Manrique, is a recognized symbol of the company's commitment to the identity and culture of the Islands.
