Canary Meat celebrates six decades of trajectory as one of the most solid companies in the food distribution sector in Lanzarote.
His story begins in the sixties, when José Morales, affectionately known as “Pepín,” opened a small butcher shop in La Recova, Arrecife, after returning from abroad. With effort, attention to detail, and a friendly approach, he laid the foundation for a family business that continues today in the hands of the third generation.
During the seventies, the company made a decisive leap towards professional distribution with the purchase of frozen products for restaurants and the installation of a cold room on Ortega y Gasset Street, in Arrecife.
From there began its expansion as a supplier of meat and food products for the hospitality sector in Lanzarote and, subsequently, in Fuerteventura.
Modern Facilities in Playa Honda
Currently, Canary Meat has modern facilities in the industrial area of Playa Honda, where it centralizes its logistics, warehousing, and customer service operations.
In 2017, the company took a new step with the opening of a physical store aimed at individual consumers, expanding its reach beyond the professional channel and offering island households selected products with the same quality standards that characterize its service to restaurants and businesses.
For three generations, the Morales family has maintained a philosophy centered on quality, trust, and closeness, beyond sales volume.
