The Canary Islands has three positive cases of monkeypox, while the suspected case in Lanzarote is still under study

Since the beginning of the alert, 69 confirmed cases and five under study have been registered, with two probable cases and three suspected cases.

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified three new cases of monkeypox and three under study since last Thursday, including a suspected case in Lanzarote, still under study and without confirmation.

All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up from Primary Care.

Thus, the confirmed and notified cases in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the alert and until today are as follows: 69 confirmed cases, 44 in Gran Canaria, 24 in Tenerife and one in Fuerteventura; two probable cases pending confirmation, one notified in Gran Canaria and another in Fuerteventura, and three suspected cases, two in Gran Canaria and one in Lanzarote.
