The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified a new confirmed case of monkeypox and two others under study, classified as probable.
This means that there are a total of 38 confirmed cases since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, of which 27 were detected in Gran Canaria and 11 in Tenerife. All cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.
In addition, the Ministry of Health maintains eight cases under study, five probable and three suspected, in Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
