The Canary Islands adds nine positives, one discharge and no deaths in the last 24 hours

The number of healthcare professionals infected with COVID-19 since the beginning of the crisis is 574, with the figure remaining stable for the second consecutive day.

The Canary Islands have so far registered a total of 2,221 accumulated cases of COVID-19, which is 9 more than the last statistic, when there were 2,212, and a slight increase of 0.4%. Of the total cases, 931 remain active. With data closed at 8:00 p.m., in the islands 1,150 people have been discharged after overcoming the coronavirus, eight times more than the number of deaths, which amounts to 140.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, a total of 918 people have required hospitalization in the Canary Islands after testing positive for coronavirus, four more than the previous day. Of all of them, 176 have required admission to intensive care units, which implies that no admission to the ICU occurred yesterday Friday.

Of the positives registered by the virus, which already affects some 55 municipalities, 1,209 are women and 1,012 are men. The number of healthcare professionals infected with COVID-19 since the beginning of the crisis is 574, with the figure remaining stable for the second consecutive day. The SCS has 31,000 workers, which represents 1.85% of the total.

According to the epidemiological data available in the islands, one person has been discharged in the last 24 hours and no deaths have been recorded. Also, there are 906 people under follow-up and 25 pending final confirmation.
