The Canary Islands has registered a total of six deaths linked to the coronavirus since last Friday. Of those deaths, three were reported in Tenerife and the other three in Gran Canaria, all of them being people with ages between 56 and 88 years old, who had previous pathologies and were in hospital admission.
In addition, 296 new positives for Covid-19 have been recorded in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.
The Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days is 298.20 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days it is 119.72.
Currently, there are 125 people hospitalized for coronavirus in the archipelago, of which six are in the ICU and the rest, 119, are on the ward.
