Sánchez announces 200 million euros for the reconstruction of La Palma

The President of the Government has traveled again this Sunday to La Palma to monitor the effects caused by the eruption of the volcano.

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Sunday that the Council of Ministers next Tuesday will approve a package of measures, for a total amount of 200 million euros, for the reconstruction of the island of La Palma as a result of the volcanic eruption.

Pedro Sánchez has traveled again this Sunday to La Palma to monitor the effects caused by the eruption of the volcano. After meeting with the Steering Committee of the Pevolca, he appeared before the media together with the President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, and then they visited the people relocated to the Hotel Princess, in Fuencaliente.

In his speech, Pedro Sánchez stressed that this is a package of measures "very powerful" from the point of view of the reconstruction of infrastructure, the response to the problem of water supply, employment, agriculture, and also from the point of view of the tourism sector and tax benefits.
