The Ministry of Health has confirmed a new outbreak detected in El Hierro, linked to a patient who "had not provided sufficient collaboration with the tracking team". Finally, five associated cases have been confirmed so far, including a 59-year-old person, who remains admitted at the Nuestra Señora de Los Reyes Island Hospital, with a reserved prognosis.
"Given the lack of collaboration with the tracking teams, the collaboration protocol with the State Security Forces and Corps has been activated and it is not ruled out to have some specific measure to guarantee compliance with the isolations and quarantines prescribed by the health personnel of that island", they have indicated from the Ministry.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health recalls the importance of complying with the protocols and isolations prescribed by the health authorities to avoid infections. Likewise, it insists that, in the event of the slightest symptom compatible with Covid-19, such as fever or sore throat, the free line 900 112 061 should be called to activate the protocol and prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
