The General Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands is currently working on the reorganization of the employment lists of teachers for the incorporation of the non-selected candidates in the call for oppositions of said body of 2019. This department has proceeded to said reorganization after the last appointment of teachers who will work during 2019. The publication of said list will take place soon and when it occurs, a period of claims will be opened.
As explained by the general director, Marisol Collado, "taking into account that this reorganization implies that the new incorporations to the list must be placed after the last person who has worked, the date of December 13, 2019 has been taken as a reference, when the last group of teachers who will work during this year is appointed".
"Therefore, once this last person who works in 2019 has been appointed, we have proceeded to reorganize the list with the non-selected opponents who did not belong to the list previously and with those who, even belonging to the list, had never worked, strictly following the order according to the grade obtained in the selective process", he added.
Emphasis is placed on the special treatment of the lists of primary school teachers, which currently includes members in each province. In this regard, in addition to what is stipulated for the rest of the lists of the different specialties of the teaching body, in order to unify the provincial lists of primary schools into an autonomous list, the following procedure will be applied: a teacher will be selected from each list following their ordinal position and the ordering criterion among them will be teaching experience. In the event that the teacher is on two lists, they will be reordered taking into account the best position in which they are. In the event of a tie, it will be resolved by attending to the alphabetical order, starting with those whose first surname begins with the letter «q», attending, for these purposes, to the alphabetical order resulting from the list of admitted candidates, according to the Resolution of March 15, 2019, of the Secretary of State for Public Function, which publishes the result of the draw referred to in the General Regulations for the Admission of Personnel to the Service of the State Administration.
Likewise, the General Directorate of Personnel reminds that this relocation affects the provision of the list for the 2020-2021 academic year and that, should another selective process of teachers occur, the list would be reorganized taking into account the order recently agreed in the sectoral table, which would imply that the non-selected candidate personnel would be placed from the last member of the employment list who had worked for three years.?
