The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands confirms a new case confirmed by diagnosis of monkeypox, without any new diagnoses for study having been added in the last 24 hours.
This means that there are a total of 26 confirmed cases since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, of which 20 were detected in Gran Canaria and six in Tenerife.
All cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up from Primary Care.
Thus, the cases confirmed and notified in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the alert and until today are as follows: 26 confirmed cases, 20 in Gran Canaria and six in Tenerife; one probable case, pending confirmation, notified in Gran Canaria; three suspected cases, pending confirmation, which have been detected two in Gran Canaria and one in Lanzarote.
