Canary Islands registers 117 new infections and no deaths for the second consecutive day

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days is situated in the Canary Islands at 43.89 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it is at 100.6 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 117 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 52,838 with 3,553 active, of which 72 are admitted to the ICU and 257 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Likewise, for the second consecutive day no deaths have been reported, so the total number of deaths in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the pandemic remains at 729, of which 406 have been in Tenerife; 251 in Gran Canaria; 48 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 6 in La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.

The Accumulated Incidence (AI) at 7 days is situated in the Canary Islands at 43.89 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the AI at 14 days is at 100.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,056,655 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 2,434 correspond to the last 24 hours.

By islands, Tenerife adds 65 new infections with a total of 22,747 accumulated cases and 2,308 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 21,679 accumulated cases, 39 more than the previous day, and 1,018 active; Lanzarote adds 5 new cases with 4,962 accumulated and 114 epidemiologically active, and Fuerteventura has 2,258 accumulated cases with 2 more than the previous day and 54 active.

La Palma does not add new cases and has 531 accumulated and 34 active cases; El Hierro adds 6 cases, so its accumulated cases rise to 362 and has 24 active cases. La Gomera does not add new cases either, so its accumulated cases remain at 228 and 1 active.
