Canary Islands adds two new cases of monkeypox

The archipelago already has 22 positives since the beginning of the alert and 10 cases under study

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified two new confirmed cases of monkeypox, in addition to three others under study.

These data mean that since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there are already 22 confirmed cases in the archipelago, of which 16 were detected in Gran Canaria and six in Tenerife.

However, the Ministry of Health points out that all cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation, receiving follow-up from Primary Care.

To these are added a total of 10 cases under study (five probable and five suspected), among which there are samples from Lanzarote.
