Canary Islands adds seven new cases of monkeypox

Since the beginning of the alert, the archipelago registers 53 positives and 11 under study, of which ten cases are probable and one suspicious

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands communicates seven new cases and nine under study for possible diagnosis of monkeypox since this Thursday.

Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 53 confirmed cases, of which 36 were detected in Gran Canaria and 17 in Tenerife. All cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.

The Ministry of Health currently has eleven cases under study, ten probable and one suspicious, all of them in Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
