A new eruptive mouth has opened this Friday afternoon to the southeast of the main cone of the volcano that is emitting ash and pyroclasts at this time, according to the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcan).

The interim technical director of Pevolca, Rubén Fernández, has stated in statements to Canary Television that it is a "normal process" within the "complex eruptive process", so he has sent a message of calm to the population.
