The National Police is investigating a possible case of gender violence that occurred this Saturday in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, after a man allegedly murdered his 79-year-old wife at her home, located in La Isleta.
The events occurred around seven in the morning, when 1-1-2 received an alert reporting that a woman needed health care in a home located on La Naval street, so the Cecoes immediately activated the necessary resources.
A medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), as well as agents from the National Police and the Local Police of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, went to the scene.
Once at the scene, SUC health personnel performed resuscitation maneuvers on the woman without success, confirming her death. The National Police has taken charge of the investigation.
