Red Cross and the Nómadas Lanzarote motorcycle club organized the III Solidarity Motorcycle Route through Lanzarote last Sunday. With more than 180 motorcycles, a total of 231 bikers from Lanzarote and Fuerteventura joined this rally, which is part of the activities of the Red Cross Gold Draw that have been taking place these days.

The activity was based on the fact that, for the purchase of two Gold Draw tickets, the Red Cross invited them to a picnic in the Yacomar Socio-Cultural hall of La Vegueta, where they were accompanied by a musical group, and to a lunch as the end of the route in the La Tegala Socio-Cultural hall in Haría.

With this initiative, the NGO raised 2,645 euros, which will be used for the social projects that the Red Cross carries out with the most disadvantaged families in Lanzarote.

More solidarity activities

In addition to this motorcycle meeting, the Red Cross has prepared more solidarity activities on the island for the coming days. On Friday, July 3, at 9:00 p.m., Comi-K Teatro will present the play "Martes 13" at the San Bartolomé Theater. Tickets for this performance directed by Alby Robayna will cost 5 euros, for which attendees can have a comical time while collaborating with a solidarity work.

The following day, at 8 p.m. and also at the San Bartolomé theater, the Gran Canaria coach Alexis Fuentes will talk about "What to do when you don't know what to do?". For this event, the entrance consists of two Gold Draw tickets, sold especially for this event.

The Red Cross has prepared another activity for Saturday, July 18, in this case with music and dance. That day, at 7:00 p.m. in the Red Cross parking lot, the "Solidarity Zumba Party" will be held. The instructors Mtdance, Cristina Mesa, Lesly Thom, Iván Paino and Magaly Arévalo will collaborate selflessly with the NGO by directing the dance. To access this zumba party, the entrance will consist of a Gold Draw ticket, which costs 5 euros and will be sold especially for this activity.

In addition, for Sunday, July 19, the NGO has organized a maritime excursion to La Graciosa, which will depart at 10:30 a.m. from the Órzola dock. "We sail along the coast of La Graciosa, approaching the islets that form the Marine Reserve of the Chinijo Archipelago, with an aperitif during the maritime tour," explains the Red Cross. The disembarkation will be on La Francesa beach with kayaks and aquatic mats, then there will also be lunch on the boat with paella, soft drink, wine and fruits. The return to Lanzarote will be around 5:00 p.m. Tickets to participate in this boat trip cost 31 euros for adults, including 3 Draw tickets, and 13 euros for children under 12 years, who will also receive a Gold Draw ticket.
