The Arrecife marina will host, for the second time, the departure of the prestigious Panerai Transat Classique regatta, which will depart from the capital's Marina Lanzarote marina to the Caribbean.

At least a dozen boats, with lengths of between 11 and 49 meters, are already pre-registered, including two exceptional three-masted schooners.

The Panerai Transat Classique 2019 hopes to attract some twenty boats, also known in the sector as the "ladies of the sea", for the majestic and traditional design, as well as for the renowned pedigree accumulated during the long history of regattas in which they have participated.

Sponsored by the famous Italian watch company Panerai Officine, this 3,000 nautical mile transoceanic regatta is organized by the Atlantic Yacht Club with the support of Comet Organisation, and undoubtedly represents the world's leading event in terms of classic transoceanic sailing.

During the past decade, Lanzarote has established itself on the map of international regattas, with training bases for Volvo Ocean Race and IMOCA60 teams, as well as events of the RC44 world championship, Minitransat and RORC Transatlantic Race. In the less than four years since it was inaugurated, Marina Lanzarote continues to consolidate Lanzarote's destination for the celebration of high-level sailing events, this time from the island's capital.

We are very pleased to have achieved, for the second time, that one of the most exclusive sailing events in the world chooses Lanzarote as its port of departure. In this case, it is a classic sailing event, which shares the values of history and maritime tradition with the location of the marina, Puerto Naos. (José Juan Calero - Calero Marinas).
