The Marlines de Lanzarote Canoeing Club celebrated a triumph this past Saturday, at the XXIII Canary Islands Sea Kayak Championship, which took place on the iconic Playa de las Canteras, organized by the Real Club Victoria and the Canary Islands Canoeing Federation. This prestigious event was attended by approximately 200 competitors, which made it a day full of challenges and excitement.

The Marlines de Lanzarote, represented by 80 paddlers, not only demonstrated their skill and preparation, but also took home an impressive haul of 40 medals, 12 of them gold, 16 silver and 12 bronze, standing out in each category of the competition.

This outstanding performance placed the team as Canary Islands Runner-up, a title that reflects "not only the technical quality but also the spirit and passion for sea kayaking." The technical direction of the club was "very excited" about the results obtained, praising the commitment and work discipline of its paddlers, they stressed after the championship.

In a "continuous effort" to maintain its sporting excellence and presence in high-level competitions, the Marlines de Lanzarote Canoeing Club is already preparing for its next challenge: the II Spanish Sea Kayak Cup. This event will take place in O Grove in two weeks, where the club hopes to continue its recent successes and compete at the highest level, proudly representing Lanzarote on the national stage. In addition, the Marlines de Lanzarote Canoeing Club remains committed to the development of canoeing in the Canary Islands and is already preparing for future competitions, as the Club together with the Canary Islands Canoeing Federation will organize the San Ginés Regatta on August 17, which will be the I Canary Islands Sea Kayak Cup.

The organization of the Canary Islands Championship was exemplary, even having to adjust the distances of the regattas, for reasons of time and logistics, but still allowing fast and exciting routes, thus facilitating a memorable event for participants and spectators.

The Marlines de Lanzarote Canoeing Club appreciates the support of the sponsors and collaborators, among which are the Government of the Canary Islands, Canary Islands Latitude of Life, PROMOTUR Tourism of the Canary Islands, Canary Islands Sport, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the Island Sports Service, Tourism Lanzarote, Lanzarote European Sport Destination, the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers, the Arrecife City Council, Sports of the Arrecife City Council, Arrecife Tourism, NK Spain, Tripasion Eventos, Cicar, Marcet Sport, Fisioterápia Pérez- Caballero, Máximo Rendimiento and High Pro Nutrition, which make this important sporting event possible.
