This Saturday, August 1, the X Pajarón Sergio Méndez-Canary Islands Marathon Championship is held, the event will feature a hundred cyclists who will travel 70 kilometers, the start is scheduled for 10:30 am from the Teguise Football Field.
The Department of Sports of the Teguise City Council, coordinated by Juan Jesús González and sponsoring this event, has facilitated its realization by providing materials, providing facilities, streamlining the application for permits in various institutions, and collaborating in all security requirements, among other things.
Registration and delivery of bib numbers will take place the day before, July 31, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ciclomanía store in Arrecife, and on the same day from 8:30 AM until half an hour before the start of the race at the Teguise football field.
The Marathon runs almost entirely through the municipality of Teguise. The Canary Islands Championship is organized by the Canary Islands Cycling Federation and the Terra Volcán Club.
