UD Lanzarote returned empty-handed from their visit to Panadería Pulido San Mateo, suffering their third consecutive defeat, which leaves them out of the places that give them the right to play in the promotion play-offs at the end of the regular season. The Rojillos saw how the rival turned around Iván Hujo's goal that put them ahead on the scoreboard.
The match began with the push of Panadería Pulido San Mateo, but little by little the visitors balanced the forces on the field. The first chance was for UD Lanzarote, with a corner kick executed by Nadjib and headed by Josimar at the far post, unable to direct the shot.
UD Lanzarote took the lead in the 15th minute. In a cross from Oli from the left, Iván Hujo won the game against the defenders to head into the back of the net. It only took two minutes for Panadería Pulido San Mateo to level the score, as Aidán took advantage of a defensive imbalance.
From that moment on, UD Lanzarote was ineffective, with Panadería Pulido San Mateo having several approaches to the goal defended by Ruymán. With twelve minutes remaining, Javi Martínez mounted a quick counterattack to stand inside the area, his shot was repelled by Ruymán, and the rebound was picked up by Toni Segura to make it 2-1.
The sentence would come in extra time. Sergio Beberide lost a ball in the center of the field, which allowed Zion Marrero to stand alone inside the area and have no problems beating Ruymán for the third time.
