After many years without the possibility of enjoying amateur and professional boxing, the city of Arrecife recovered boxing evenings on Friday night and the public enjoyed the show that took place on the ring installed in the Arrecife Fairground. The night began with the dispute of nine amateur fights, with the greatest promises of Canarian boxing present at the moment. And the highlight of the night came with the professional fight between Mariano Hilario "Tiburón" and José Núñez. A fight dominated by the boxer raised on the island of Lanzarote, tilting on points unanimously in favor of Marinao Hilario "Tiburón"

From the beginning of the fight, "Tiburón" tried to physically wear down his rival with a first round in which the two fighters maintained their distance and barely managed to connect blows to the opponent's face. In the second round, "Tiburón" connected several blows, facing a José Núñez who was trying to react to the rival's attacks. In the third round, "Tiburón" took José Núñez to the ground, with the Venezuelan boxer receiving the first count from the main referee of the evening.

Mariano Hilario "Tiburón" was unable to close a fight against a rival who was showing fatigue and the blows received. The Venezuelan José Núñez reacted timidly in the fifth round, putting the local boxer against the ropes, although "Tiburón" reacted to regain the initiative of the fight. In the last round of the night, "Tiburón" asked for the support of the public that filled the Arrecife Fairground, receiving the support of his people and the fans who have seen him grow on the island of Lanzarote.

The professional fight of the evening had to be decided on points, with the decision of the referees being unanimous. Mariano Hilario "Tiburón" was the winner, adding the fourteenth victory as a professional boxer. A result that will allow him to face the next challenges he has in the ring with more optimism.

Before the celebration of the stellar fight of the night, nine amateur fights were held in which boxers from Team Formento (Gran Canaria), Club Noi Thay (Fuerteventura), Team Jinamar Boxing (Gran Canaria), Team Pepe Delgado (Gran Canaria), Team Jairo (Tenerife) and the Palenke Boxing School, directed by Manuel Santacruz Socas "Palenke", participated. The amateur fights were agreed to three rounds and all would be resolved on points with the decision of the referees.

By unanimous decision of the referees, Mansur Muti Peralta, Héctor Santana, Juan Hernández Ramírez and Elvis Ramírez won in the amateur fights. The decision was divided to give the triumph to Jonathan Caicedo, Iriome Peñate, Acaymo Rodríguez and Hiuber Ramírez "Boty". In the fight that faced Samuel Moreno "Palenke III" and Andrés López, the team of the boxer from the Palenke School threw in the towel at the conclusion of the second round.

The public of Arrecife responded on Friday night, filling the expected capacity in the Arrecife Fairground and demonstrating that in the capital of the island there is desire and passion for good boxing. The Amateur and Professional Boxing Evening has been held with the organization of the Department of Sports of the Arrecife City Council and the Cabildo of Lanzarote, with the collaboration of the company FitnessMania and the supervision of the Canary Boxing Federation.
