Co-driver Dani Mesa was present last weekend at the Baja España Aragón, an event valid for the F.I.A. World Championship and the Spanish Cross Country Championship. The Lanzarote native shared a team with Javier Herrador from Madrid aboard a "Herrator Inzane" with which they successfully completed the two long days of competition that the event had. Finally, Javier Herrador and Dani Mesa finished their participation in the Baja España Aragón in a more than meritorious second position in their category.

Javier Herrador and Dani Mesa premiered a vehicle from the Herrador factory, the "Herrator Inzane" prototype, at the Baja España Aragón. It is a car with a tubular structure with a 6.2 gasoline engine, sequential gearbox, 37-inch tires, KING suspension, two-wheel drive and very light. It is a prototype designed for the Dakar.

On Friday's stage they carried out a conservative strategy to avoid punctures. In the first special stage of 164 timed kilometers, Herrador and Mesa finished in 27th place overall and third in the T1.3 category. With the same strategy they faced the second special stage of 86 kilometers, finishing the first day among the top classified in their category.

On Saturday, Javier Herrador and Dani Mesa were setting good times, but a puncture ended their chances of fighting for the final podium in the Baja España Aragón. They closed their participation with a fourth place in the T1.3 category of the F.I.A. World Championship and second in the Spanish Championship, after two days of competition and nearly 500 kilometers around Teruel. These results allow them to closely follow the lead of the Spanish Cross Country Championship.

Dani Mesa makes up for the thorn he had stuck in him from the last edition of the Baja España Aragón, in which he took part with seven-time Spanish champion Manolo Plaza, having to abandon due to engine failure when they were in fifth position in the World Championship. The Lanzarote co-driver commented that "the possibility of adding kilometers with Javier Herrador in a buggy generates an extra experience in each stage, and even more so if it culminates on the podium".

Javier Herrador and Dani Mesa's next event in the Spanish Championship will be the Rally TT of Guadalajara, to be held on September 20 and 21. An event in which they can continue to reduce the differences with respect to the leadership of the competition and present their credentials to be champions of Spain.
