Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros fought unsuccessfully against Tobarra

The improvement of Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros in the last month of competition could not translate into victory in the visit to Tobarra (Albacete). Despite a remarkable fighting ability, the limited available rotation prevented him from prevailing in Saturday's clash against the Tobarra Basketball Club by losing steam in the decisive phase of the match.

Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros traveled to Albacete very diminished due to injuries and physical problems that the players were dragging. Therefore, Iñaki Merino could only have six players to face the match, with a lonely Elvis Pereira on the bench to give his teammates a rest on the court. Alan Bedirhanoglu had to play every minute of the match.

The match did not start badly for the interests of Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros, giving the opponent a partial score of 2 to 8 at the beginning. The advantage in favor of the Lanzarote team grew as the minutes passed, reaching a rent of twelve points in this first quarter (9-21). A quarter that concluded with a triple and a free throw scored by Acoydan McCarthy to establish the 15-21.

During the development of the second quarter, Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros continued to maintain the type on the playing court. The objective was to continue being strong in defense and effective in attack, carrying out a paused game so as not to wear out physically more. Tobarra went to rest with a one-point advantage, thanks to the triple scored by Miguel Raez in the last seconds.

The baskets of Richard Nguema and Javi Herrero at the beginning of the third quarter allowed Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros to regain the initiative on the scoreboard. With four minutes remaining, the disadvantage was four points (44-40), at which point the reaction of the Lanzarote team arrived to get into the game and achieve a partial score of 0-9. Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejeros started the last quarter with a 9-point advantage (48-57).

The physical effort made throughout the match began to take its toll on the visiting players, seeing how the Tobarra Basketball Club was reducing the difference little by little. A basket by Kedar Wright put the Albacete team ahead (61-60), and Aloe Plus Lanzarote had the last attacking play to win the match, failing to overcome the opponent's defense and losing by 65 to 64.

Now it's time to think about the next league commitment, receiving the visit of Real Madrid on Saturday afternoon, a match that will be played from 7:00 p.m. in the Pavilion of the Lanzarote Sports City.
