The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, asked the Minister of Territorial Policy, Territorial Cohesion and Water of the Government of the Canary Islands, Manuel Miranda, this Monday for a meeting to clarify the current situation of the Playa Blanca Tourism Modernization Plan, project phases and financing, with the municipal president stating that the City Council demands "detailed information to work together and promote the common interests and sustainable development of our municipality."

The Modernization Plan is not the only issue that Yaiza wants to discuss with the highest official of Territorial Policy, since the mayor in the letter sent to Minister Manuel Miranda states that he also requires "detailed explanations about the circumstances that led to the annulment of the Yaiza Supplementary General Planning Plan drafted by the Government of the Canary Islands at the request of the City Council."

And with respect to the drafting of the new General Plan, which Yaiza has already contracted and is in the investigation and consultation phase with the various social agents involved in the development of the municipality, Óscar Noda asks the regional Executive for "administrative collaboration for its processing: speed in the issuance of sectoral reports when appropriate and technical advice."

"These are all priority issues for Yaiza and what we intend is to clearly express our concerns and find solutions in consensus that favor our neighbors and the well-being of the entire municipality," concludes the southern mayor, always inclined to inter-administrative collaboration.
