The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, has expressed her satisfaction upon learning that the Contentious-Administrative Court number 2 of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has suspended as a precautionary measure the expulsion of the councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote Juan Manuel Sosa as a member of the Nationalist Group of the corporation, as well as his consideration as non-attached.
"This judicial resolution completely breaks the strategy of Coalición Canaria to pressure Sosa to force his resignation", Corujo explained and warned that "the irregular attempt to expel the councilor is part of a larger operation, which began with the coercion of San Ginés denounced by Sosa".
Corujo recalled that, "since those alleged coercions, Coalición Canaria has been involved in a permanent campaign of harassment against Juan Manuel Sosa, accusing him of being a defector, despite knowing perfectly well that the councilor was on their lists as a result of an electoral agreement with San Borondón and that it was this formation that broke the agreement with Coalición, ordering his dismissal as spokesperson for the nationalist group in the Cabildo".
"The pressure they have exerted on Sosa is intolerable, as it is based on the most absolute of lies: the administrative situation of the councilor is impeccable from a legal point of view and Coalición's commitment to sowing doubts about Sosa's honorability, accusing him of improper collections, denotes a reprehensible absence of morality", the president pointed out.
Corujo concluded by demanding an exercise of political dignity from Coalición Canaria: "They are still in time to apologize for falsely accusing Sosa of usurping the spokesperson role of Coalición or of improper collections that exist only in the feverish imagination of Pedro San Ginés".
