The former auditor of Tinajo does continue working in San Bartolomé: "We have nothing but gratitude for her involvement"

The San Bartolomé City Council, which shared an auditor with the Tinajo City Council, has not been affected by the departure of the official Natalia García Valcárcel. While the mayor of Tinajo assured this Tuesday that his City Council is "paralyzed" because it has not yet been able to replace the secretary-auditor, the mayoress of San Bartolomé assures that her municipality continues to function "with total normality."

In fact, Natalia García Valcárcel continues "collaborating in technical advice" in this City Council. In addition, the City Council has requested authorization from the Public Function so that she can continue to exercise in the accumulation of functions, combining her new position in the Tacoronte City Council (Tenerife) with her role as auditor in San Bartolomé.

"We are fortunately continuing with her, because the work that has been done in the City Council has frankly been very good, thanks to her professionalism and of course to the technical team we have," said the mayoress, María Dolores Corujo. "Therefore, what I can say is that the San Bartolomé City Council functions with total normality, including the intervention department, which allows the administration to continue working as it should be."

Two very different scenarios

The situation in San Bartolomé contrasts with what happened in Tinajo. In that municipality, the departure of the auditor was surrounded by significant controversy, with accusations exchanged between the government group and the opposition. Among other things, because of the reports in which the official warned of payments that she understood should not have been made.

In addition, García Valcárcel said goodbye to the Tinajo City Council with a brief intervention at the end of a plenary session, in which she blamed three officials for her departure, accusing them of having the City Council "kidnapped."

"In San Bartolomé, there have been no conflicts at all," said the mayoress of this municipality. "She is a qualified national official and I have nothing but gratitude for her involvement, collaboration and above all professionalism. I think we have all learned a lot from her, as from any technician who works and collaborates in our City Council," said María Dolores Corujo in this regard.
