A 2.4-degree earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded last night between Tenerife and Gran Canaria and was felt slightly in the towns of Granadilla de Abona and Güímar, in the south of Tenerife, according to data from the National Geographic Institute.

The seismic movement took place at 21:32 hours in the fault between Tenerife and Las Palmas?longitude 28.11 N, latitude 16.28 W- and at a depth of 18 kilometers, according to IGN data.

Likewise, it indicates that according to the data available so far, the earthquake was felt slightly, with intensity II on the EMS scale, in the upper areas of the municipalities of Granadilla de Abona and Güímar, in the southern area of the Island.
