Timple player Germán López presents his new album "Silencio roto" in Lanzarote

After his debut with "Timplíssimo", Germán López now presents his new record, "Silencio Roto", in Lanzarote. The 13 songs included in the new record by the musician from Cumbre can be heard live this Friday, May 13, at 9:00 p.m., at the Casa Museo del Timple, in Teguise.

The timple player returns with a new work "of creative exquisiteness, in a display of instrumental and technical maturity that refines his personal vision of Canarian root music in a globalized context of crossbreeding." Tanganillos, sorondongos, malagueñas and imagined folias, burst with energy from the strings of his timple.

Throughout each of the songs on the album, Germán López naturally bathes us in lyrical textures and reverie, converging in Celtic airs, brushstrokes of blues with a background of magua, or with the sunny Caribbean warmth, cheerful and festive, that sprouts through the pores, and the visceral Arab-Flamenco pulse, or the uncomplexed jazz rhythms.

The artistic production of the flautist and saxophonist Andreas Prittwitz, widely knowledgeable of the acoustic possibilities of the timple through his work with José Antonio Ramos, has led this exceptional journey that has had Víctor Merlo's double bass, Vicente Borland's piano, José San Martín's percussion, and the collaborations of Luis Fernández on keyboards and the harmonica player Antonio Serrano.

Tickets for the performance cost 10 euros and can be purchased at the Casa Museo del Timple and in the Education and Culture area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. Germán López's performance in Lanzarote is organized by the Education and Culture area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and by the Government of the Canary Islands, with the collaboration of the Teguise City Council.
