Infections skyrocket in Lanzarote, which adds 37 positives in one day

It is the worst data since February, when the island was experiencing the worst wave it has suffered so far

Lanzarote has registered this Thursday its worst data since last February, adding 37 positive cases of Covid-19 in a single day. The figure almost doubles that of the previous day, when a new rebound in the daily cases that had been reported had already been experienced.

In addition, the active cases have risen to 202, since there have been 14 discharges that have been registered in the last 24 hours.

As for the cumulative incidence, in seven days it has increased by almost six points, standing at 82.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while in 14 days it has risen to 159.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with an increase of about eight points compared to the previous day.

Lanzarote already accumulates 6,117 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 50 died and 5,866 have overcome the disease.

In the last day, 488 Covid tests were carried out on the island by the Canarian Health Service, about 100 more than the previous day.
