The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Culture directed by Eva de Anta, organizes together with the La Miñoca café-bar the IV Jolaterock, which will take place on Saturday, May 5, starting at 9:00 p.m. on the banks of the Charco de San Ginés.
This time the festival will bring Tío Matt, a Gran Canaria quintet made up of experienced musicians who are members of bands such as La Gallina Verde, Sintasiva, Moisés Márquez group, Overbooking, Snif Nh3, Niño Ruido, etc. The night will also feature a DJ session by Oscartienealas.
From Queen to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, passing through Police and Adele, Outkas or Tom Jones, Tío Matt arrives loaded with a repertoire full of energy for the IV Jolaterock.
"The Arrecife City Council, through the area I direct, will continue to support the celebration of concerts with live music, although it is true that the budget for 2012 is scarce due to the current economic situation, it is necessary to prioritize in other areas such as Social Services," says the Councilor for Culture, Eva de Anta.
Even so, it is important, adds the councilor, "that we support cultural initiatives such as the one we have organized with La Miñoca." "Only in this way can we maintain a quality program that gives life to public spaces and covers the tastes of all citizens. So I encourage everyone to come to El Charco on May 5, because we are not only going to enjoy ourselves, but also to get excited," she concludes.
