Old maps and cartographic representations are shown during these days in the exhibition hall of El Charco de San Ginés. "Lanzarote on maps" is the title of this collection that includes a hundred reproductions of maps of the Canary Islands and Lanzarote. The exhibition has been organized on the occasion of the celebration of the First Congress of Spanish Biosphere Reserves, which will be officially inaugurated on the island next Monday.

This exhibition aims to show the images that navigators used to guide themselves in their marine adventures. In this way, the exhibition includes from the first cartographic representation of Lanzarote, dated 1339, to the most modern images captured by satellites.

The exhibition can be visited until October 30 in El Charco de San Ginés, from ten to one in the morning and from five to eight in the afternoon.
