The animal protector Sara has publicly asked for help to be able to afford Sunday's operation, a dog that has both front legs broken and arrived at this animal shelter in Lanzarote a few days ago.
On social media, the protector has reported that the animal will go into surgery this Wednesday and will begin a long recovery process to leave the pain behind and walk normally again.
The total cost of the operation amounts to 1,200 euros. While she indicated that they have to face this expense, at the same time they are attending to "many other animals with veterinary needs".
In this social media post, they pointed out that "Sunday's is not an isolated case", as a few weeks ago another podenca had to be operated on for a fracture in one of her front legs. "The cases are repeated, and veterinary expenses are accumulating without pause," they added.
The protector has asked the island's population to participate with "any contribution" economic, "however small", to cover her surgery and recovery. The donations are made through the entity's website.
