Agents of the Policía Nacional in Arrecife, clarified in a short space of time a theft committed in a nightlife establishment of the Lanzarotean capital, achieving the location and arrest of the alleged perpetrators and the recovery of the stolen object, a high-end watch valued at 32,000 euros.

The events occurred in the early morning of January 31st, in a nightclub when a police unit was dispatched through the CIMACC operational room of the 091, following a report filed by a foreign tourist who stated he had been the victim of the theft of his watch while he was inside the premises.

According to the victim's account, after striking up a conversation with several people he had just met, he agreed to lend his watch so that it could be observed more closely, a moment that the alleged perpetrator took advantage of to leave the establishment with the object.

Immediately, the agents initiated an operation, gathering information from witnesses and employees of the establishment, as well as analyzing the images from the security cameras.

Thanks to the speed of action, police coordination, and analysis of the information obtained, the suspects were identified and located in another leisure establishment in the municipality of Puerto del Carmen.

Given that the apprehension took place outside the territorial scope of Arrecife, the necessary police cooperation mechanisms were activated, highlighting the close collaboration and effective coordination between the National Police and the Civil Guard.

Finally, two young men, both males aged 20 and with no prior police record, were arrested for an alleged theft, and the stolen watch was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.

It should be noted that both the victim and the detainees were on the island for tourist reasons and were scheduled to leave Lanzarote the following day, a circumstance that highlighted the importance of a rapid and effective police intervention to ensure the recovery of the stolen items and the judicial processing of those responsible.
