The Unión Norte Wrestling Club of Haría is "absolutely dismayed" by the death of Fabián Navarro, the young fighter who lost his life this Sunday in a traffic accident near Arrieta, on the LZ-10. The president, Vicente Hernández, has assured La Voz that everyone is "very sad" about the unexpected death of the young man.
"He was a noble, good boy and a very good teammate," said Hernández, who explained that Fabián Navarro belonged to this Canarian wrestling club during the 2010-2011 season, in the youth category. "He got along great with everyone, there was never any problem with him," said the president.
The Unión Norte Wrestling Club of Haría has posted a photograph of the young man on its website with a black ribbon as a sign of mourning along with the words "rest in peace."
Several sources from the family and the young man's environment maintain that the motorcycle did not collide with another vehicle, but that the young man was run over. Apparently, Fabián Navarro detected a problem with his motorcycle and decided to stop on the shoulder to try to fix it.
According to these same sources, a driver did not see the young man, since it was night, and ran him over, causing his death at the scene. The deceased was accompanied by a girl, who was not injured, according to these same sources.
